Author and science journalist Angela Saini is our guest today at 10am SLT.

We will attempt to talk about her entire superb oeuvre with a special focus on her book “Superior” which deals with the ugly history and the alarming presence of race science (formerly know as eugenics).

Why are a number of scientists (since the beginning of scientific research pretty much) compelled to dedicate their lives to proof that biological differences are the sole reason for differences in economic and cultural achievement of entire populations, and why - despite no significant findings that inequities in society can be boiled down to genetic origin - are these theories again so popular in the information age, in our year 2022?

Is it the proliferation of fake news, relentless and well-financed social media punditry, or is it simply the cozy feeling everyone tends to get when they can define themselves as better as some “other”, in other words, fell SUPERIOR?

See what I did there? Anyways …..

Bring your curiousity, your questions and please note the 10am starting time today! You don’t want to miss this one …
