Gabriela Houston is kicking off the fall season here at the Second Life Book Club. Showtime is back at 12pm SLT.

What is on the menu? A wonderfully Imaginative coming-of-age tale with young heroes, who are struggling to make sense of the two hearts that are beating in their chest, a birth “defect” that makes them into outcasts but, as they discover, can be empowering and healing as well.

Gabriela’s latest , “The Wind Child” is equally magical, with 11-year old Mara, a child of a god and a human, trying to find where she fits in, using powers that she did not know she had, to try to bring back her father from the dead. How does she beat the evil spirits on the way to the place of the big showdown? By riding a bear who can talk. Of course!
