Mithu Sanyal is coming on the show at 12pm SLT.

To say I am excited about this conversation is an understatement: Mithu’s book “Identitti” is the novel I have been waiting for.

A hilariously funny yet nuanced approach to all the minefields we are to navigate in our daily lives, online as well as in the offline world: cancel culture, identity politics, how to talk about Jordan Peterson (and other demagogues/grifters), without foaming at the mouth about their hate speech, level of zealotry and transphobia …

“Identitti” is a must-read (and I have not even read it as I am fleshing out this calendar announcement because my wife stole it, absorbed it, gave me the Cliff Notes, including Mithu’s nuanced take on Rachel Dolezal and the unfortunate fact - referenced in the novel - that Hannah Arendt spouted some pretty darn racist comments back in her day).

Ok. Off the internet now. Reading. Go henceforth, dear SL Book Club member and treat yourself to a fictional account of all the issues of our modern times. It will be more nourishing than hate scrolling through Elon’s Twitter feed.

I guarantee it!
