S.L. Huang was a stuntwoman in Hollywood, likes math [she has a degree from MIT according to Google but we will verify that in person by asking her about some complex equation!] & she became a self-published sensation in the near-future thriller genre via her Cas Russell character.

Her books around Cas and her gaggle of slightly outside the law friends/colleagues are now in the capable hands of Tor Publishing.

The “retrieval” specialist shoots her way through a Los Angeles full of gang and other violence and she fights telepaths, conspiracies and [of course!!] corrupt cops.

These books are what you need right now says Drax: escapism of the best kind. Fast-paced, precise and full of great characters. Almost as if her avatar is one of them if not Cas herself ….
