Australian novelist and filmmaker Tracy Sorensen has written a wonderful book with a loveable albeit unreliable narrator: a galah, also known - according to Wikipedia - as the pink and grey cockatoo or rose-breasted cockatoo. “The Lucky Galah” will enchant you and teach you quite a bit about how to be nice to our animal friends, especially birds. Spoiler alert in re galah treatment? Buy some good, heavy books for their afternoon snack!
